Visitors can explore local history at the McHenry County Historical Museum or enter the off-beat world of cartoon crime fighting at the Chester Gould-Dick Tracy Museum. Performing arts abound throughout the region, but the starts don't shine any brighter than at the Raue Center for the Performing Arts and the Woodstock Opera House, both offering spectacular seasons of local, regional and national programming.
