Owner: Crystal Lake Park District. The pattern was chosen to honor the farm heritage of the site, the former Hill Farm. The colors chosen reflect the rural elements; sky, water, grass, and the setting sun. The barn quilt was done as part of the Northern Illinois Quilt festival and in celebration of the park districts 90th. Volunteers from the Crystal Lake Historical Society designed and painted the quilt. The 8' x 8' barn quilt was installled by staff form the Park Services division of the park district. Hill Farm Park was once a working farm but is now owned by the Crystal Lake Park District and home to Barlina House Preschool, offices of the park district police and a community garden.
